Found this in the RealtorMag from the week of 04/07/14, 3 Tips For Staging a Vacation Rental Property, very simple…
With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about getting those cabin rentals, lake homes, and beachfront condos ready for vacationers. Here are three staging tips for the rental properties you own or manage that will help vacationers feel like they’re at their home away from home.
1. Hire a professional cleaning crew to make sure the rental is spotless. The last thing renters want to see when they walk into a property is evidence of other renters before them. Pay special attention to the kitchen (including the refrigerator) and bathrooms. Make sure all the linens and furniture are clean, too. Also make sure the outside of the property looks clean and appealing.
2. Scent is important. If the rental is clean, this shouldn’t be a problem but it doesn’t hurt to put out some extra fragrance throughout the property such as scented oils in a refreshing scent. For the best results, choose a scent that is clean and natural.
3. Offer extra amenities, regardless of how small, to really set your rental apart. Take a page from hotels and include things such as white bath robes, a selection of books for light reading, and stationary.
